The Standard Design Group Nurseries

I would not recommend Standard Group - Sherman Oaks to anyone. This is, without question, the worst landscaping company I have ever dealt with. We were charged approximately $35,000 to landscape our front and backyard, and we were promised high-quality materials, including large 50-gallon plants and flowers. Instead, they installed the smallest five-gallon plants they could find. The grass was also the cheapest quality, was poorly leveled, and started dying almost immediately. We wanted privacy trees installed along one side of our brick wall. Standard Group recommended ficus trees and planted them only three feet from our pool because that was the only space available. We later learned that ficus trees should be planted at least 10 feet away from a pool structure. Because of their poor recommendation and installation, we had to hire another landscaping company to remove and replant all of the trees, costing us thousands more. We also asked for flowers and plants in a large area, but instead, Standard Group simply covered it with approximately two inches of wood chips. The wood chips covered our sprinkler heads and drainage areas, and their work resulted in broken pipes. We wer

WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A CONTRACTOR EVER! I have hired dozens of contractors in my life. These guys are the worst! They did horrible work. They lied throughout the process. Finally, they won't respond to emails, etc. These guys move around the Valley to different locations. This location says North Hollywood, but now they are elsewhere! SERIOUSLY, save yourself hours of frustration and explanation to people who come to your house about why the yard looks horrible!

Keith, the man who helped me find what I was looking for, was super kind, professional and informative. Plus he also feeds the stray cats that hang out in the nursery so that's cool! Anyways, I got two nice fruit plants and both were cheaper than home depot so yeah, highly recommend this place for fellow plant enthusiasts!!

I recently had a landscaping project completed with Keith and his team, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. They cleaned up both the sides of our house, the backyard, removed all the trash and debris, and laid down a flagstone pathway. Additionally, they planted over 40 plants, which has transformed our outdoor space into a beautiful environment. What impressed me the most was their commitment to our budget. Keith worked with us diligently to keep costs in check while delivering high-quality work. Their professionalism and courtesy were evident throughout the entire process. We were unsure on how to design the backyard, but Keith guided us to a practical solution and walked through the design process. Keith was very knowledgeable in all things plants and effectively communicated with us. But Keith didn’t stop there. He went above and beyond by trimming our trees, ensuring they looked their best. I appreciate the attention to detail and the extra effort he put into the job. Overall, I highly recommend The Standard Design Group Nurseries North Hollywood - Keith. If you’re looking for a reliable and skilled team, they won’t disappoint. I plan on working with Keith on

Had a wonderful experience at Standard today - Brandon and Daniel were both very knowledgeable and helpful. I arrived looking for a specific plant, and left with 4! Brandon gathered each of the plants I picked out and packed them all safely in my car. Really wonderful nursery with a great selection!
